Terms of Use

The rules for using primeyears.org, written in plain language.

These are the rules for using primeyears.org. We have written them in plain language, because fine print that nobody can read is not much of an agreement.

Agreeing to these terms

By using primeyears.org you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

Who we are

Prime Years is a guide and marketplace for life after 55, covering home safety, health, mobility, insurance, legal planning, fitness, transportation, lifestyle, and longevity. You can reach us any time at contact@primeyears.org.

What this site is, and what it is not

Prime Years publishes general information and points you toward companies and services we have reviewed. That is all it does.

Nothing on this site is professional advice. Articles, guides, checklists, and partner descriptions are not medical, legal, financial, insurance, or tax advice, and they are not a substitute for speaking with a licensed professional who knows your situation. Always talk to your doctor, attorney, financial adviser, or insurance agent before making a decision. If you have a medical emergency, call 911.

Partner links and how we earn

Some links on this site are partner links. If you click one and buy something, Prime Years may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. That commission never affects whether a company appears here or what we say about them.

We are not the seller. Anything you buy is a transaction between you and that company, under their terms, their prices, their returns policy, and their warranties. Questions about an order, a refund, or a product problem need to go to them, though we are always glad to help you find the right contact.

Other websites

When you follow a link away from Prime Years, you are on someone else's website. We do not control their content, their privacy practices, or their accessibility, and we are not responsible for them.

Using the site properly

Please do not:

  • Use the site for anything unlawful, or to harass or harm anyone
  • Try to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems
  • Copy or scrape the site in bulk, by hand or with automated tools
  • Impersonate Prime Years or claim a partnership that does not exist
  • Submit false information through our forms

What you send us

When you write to us or sign up for our newsletter, please do not include sensitive personal information such as medical records, financial account numbers, or government identification numbers. Our contact form is email, not a secure portal.

If you send us feedback or a suggestion, you allow us to use it to improve Prime Years without owing you payment or credit.

Our content

The writing, design, layout, and graphics on Prime Years belong to us or are used with permission, and are protected by copyright. You are welcome to read, print, and share pages for your own personal use. Republishing our content commercially, or presenting it as your own, requires our written permission. The Prime Years name and logo are our trademarks. Company names and logos belonging to partners are their property.

No warranty

We work hard to keep this site accurate and current, but we provide it "as is." Prices, availability, product details, and company information change, sometimes without notice. We do not guarantee that the site will always be available, error free, or free of interruptions.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Prime Years is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site, from anything you bought through a partner link, or from any decision you made based on information you found here. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

We may update the site and these terms as Prime Years grows. When we make a meaningful change, we will update the date at the bottom of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
